Create Your Own Clip Art!
That technique was used here. The small photo is the original (72dpi) image which was enlarged and cropped. Then I applied the Watercolor filter and the Paint Daub filter. Finally, I sharpened it. The results look quite good. Because the enlarged image has lost detail it seems to make a more convincing graphic after being run through the Photoshop Artistic Filters. Try it! Experiment to get the best results.

Need more clip art
for your web design? Here is a quick tip for creating clip art using the
Artistic Filters built into Image Composer, Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro. What I have discovered is that the
Artistic Filters give more convincing results (look more like artwork)
when you first
take a small low-resolution image, increase the Image Size so that you have a
rather blurry image with digital artifacts. Apply the artistic filters to that
image for some impressive results.
