Consistency is so much a part of our lives that we take it for granted. For example, when your purchase an automobile from any manufacturer there are certain consistencies they have in common. The steering wheel, pedals, and gear shift are usually in the same position on all vehicles. This eliminates having to relearn driving skills each time you use a different make and model vehicle. That level of consistency is also needed when designing a web site.

Web Designers: Think Like Users!
There is a gap between how web designers and most users think. And that gap is what makes many websites difficult to navigate and use. A recent study by psychologists at Kansas State University revealed just how wide the gap is.

A Website Makeover to Improve Search Engine Results...
Some of the major search engines have recently begun to place a greater importance on the wording in html text links. For example, if you use the text link wording "a web designers portfolio" to link to a web designers website, it will yield a better search engine result than using an expression like "click here" to link to the same site. Websites must be designed with carefully worded html text links to provide more accurate search results.

A Great Navigation Menu for Web Pages
Have you ever driven a car where all the controls seemed to be in just the right place? It certainly makes the task of driving easier and more efficient. An easy-to-use navigation menu can make your web site as easy to use! Here is a DHTML menu that we have fallen in love with because of its ease of use, wide browser compatibility and easy customization.
